About OMEP Estonia
OMEP is an international, NGO dedicated to working for children’s needs in Early Education and Care. (children 0 – 8 years). OMEP works with other Early Years organisations and has consultative status with UNICEF, UNESCO, Council of Europe and ECOSOC. OMEP has members in every continent. Meetings are held annually in Europe and internationally.
OMEP Estonia was established by Taimi Tulva who first visitied the OMEP Europe conference in 1988. After her the organisation was led by Mare Leino after whom Maarika Pukk and Helje Roolaane took over the resposibility. Starting the year 2008 Evelin Tamm has been the main force to bring OMEP Estonia back to the World map of OMEPs.
The mission of OMEP Estonia is to promote the network supporting the development of children to the age of eight years and upvalue childhood.
In our vision by the year 2014 is OMEP Estonia vital and influential organisation uniting persons and associations in the field of early education and care.
